Mobile WiMAX is a 3rd generation broadband wireless technology that enables the convergence of mobile and fixed broadband networks through a wide area radio-access. Since January 2007, the IEEE 802.16 working group has been developing a new amendment the IEEE 802.16 standard i.e. IEEE 802.16 m as an advanced air interface to meet the requirements of ITU-R/IMT-Advanced for 4G systems. The mobile WiMAX air interface adopts orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) as multiple access technique for its uplink and downlink to improve signal performance affected by multipath distortion. All OFDMA based networks, including mobile WiMAX, experience the problem of high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). This paper presents a discrete-sine-transform precoding technique based random-interleaved OFDMA (RI-OFDMA) uplink system for PAPR reduction in mobile WiMAX. The PAPR of proposed system is analyzed with root-raised-cosine pulse shaping filter to keep out of band radiation low and to fulfill the spectrum mask requirements. Simulation results show that, the proposed system has low PAPR compared to the Hadamard transform precoded RI-OFDMA uplink systems and the conventional RI-OFDMA uplink systems.  相似文献

In this review, the unique properties of intrinsically conducting polymer (ICP) in biomedical engineering fields are summarized. Polythiophene and its valuable derivatives are known as potent materials that can broadly be applied in biosensors, DNA, and gene delivery applications. Moreover, this material plays a basic role in curing and promoting anti-HIV drugs. Some of the thiophene’s derivatives were chosen for different experiments and investigations to study their behavior and effects while binding with different materials and establishing new compounds. Many methods were considered for electrode coating and the conversion of thiophene to different monomers to improve their functions and to use them for a new generation of novel medical usages. It is believed that polythiophenes and their derivatives can be used in the future as a substitute for many old-fashioned ways of creating chemical biosensors polymeric materials and also drugs with lower side effects yet having a more effective response. It can be noted that syncing biochemistry with biomedical engineering will lead to a new generation of science, especially one that involves high-efficiency polymers. Therefore, since polythiophene can be customized with many derivatives, some of the novel combinations are covered in this review.  相似文献

Factors affecting the electrical resistivity of soybean oil methyl ester (which is important in some industrial applications) were investigated by the addition of polar constituents [free fatty acids (FFA), water, phospholipids, monoglyceride, sterol, tocopherol, peroxides, and β-carotene] to aluminapurified soybean oil methyl ester (APSBOMe). Investigation of measuring conditions showed that reproducible results were obtained when the potential was greater than 25 V, and the charging time was greater than 10 s. The resistivity of APSBOMe increased logarithmically as temperature decreased linearly. FFA had little effect on resistivity. Saturation with water lowered the resistivity of APSBOMe much more than that of alumina-purified soybean oil (APSBO). Phospholipids reduced the resistivity significantly when added to dry ester, but the addition of water affected the resistivity of the samples containing phospholipids only slightly. Monoglyceride, sterol, tocopherol, and hydroperoxide affected the resistivity of dry methyl ester similarly, but only monoglyceride showed a significant synergistic effect with water. Diacylperoxide and β-carotene had little effect on the resistivity of the ester.  相似文献

The set theoretic method developed by the author in a previous paper for enumeration of pathsets of non-directed graphs has been modified in this paper and applied to directed graphs. The directed graph is represented mathematically by an expression using vertex sets defined in the text. Set operations like union and intersection are applied to the vertex set terms of this expression and these terms are gradually converted to complete pathsets of the directed graph. The development of ulceration and ulcer complications by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) is now well established. Gastric erosions occur in about 60% of patients receiving long-term NSAID therapy. Many clinicians consider such erosions benign in nature and not requiring therapeutic intervention. Recent evidence, however, indicates that gastric erosions predispose rheumatic patients to frank ulcerations and ulcer complications. This brief overview summarizes the clinical dilemma in the diagnosis and treatment of NSAID-induced gastric erosions. Current data suggest that misoprostol has important therapeutic benefits for the treatment and prevention of gastric erosions in patients receiving long-term NSAID therapy.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider robust control problems which are governed by a two-dimensional phase-field model of Warren—Boettinger, which describes the solidification of a binary alloy, in order to take into account the influence of noises in the data. Firstly, the robust control problems are formulated. Afterwards, the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the perturbation (of the nonlinear governing system of equations) is proved as well as stability under mild assumptions. We prove the existence of an optimal solution, and we also find necessary optimality conditions.  相似文献

A new organic blue‐light emitter 1‐methyl‐2‐(anthryl)‐imidazo[4,5‐f][1,10]‐phenanthroline ( 1 ) has been synthesized and fully characterized. The utility of compound 1 as a blue‐light emitter in electroluminescent (EL) devices has been evaluated by fabricating a series of EL devices A where compound 1 functions as an emitter. The EL spectrum of device series A has the emission maximum at 481 nm with the CIE (Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage) color coordinates 0.198 and 0.284. The maximum luminance of devices in series A is 4000 cd m–2 and the best external quantum efficiency of device series A is 1.82 %. The utility of compound 1 as an electron injection–electron transport material has been evaluated by constructing a set of EL devices B where 1 is used as either the electron‐injection layer or the electron injection–electron transport layer. The performance of device series B is compared to the standard device in which Alq3 (tris(8‐hydroxyquinoline) aluminum) is used as the electron injection–electron transport layer. The experimental results show that the performance of 1 as an electron injection–electron transport material is considerably better than Alq3. The stability of device series B is comparable to that of the standard Alq3 device. The excellent performance of 1 as an electron injection/transport material may be attributed to the strong intermolecular interactions of 1 in the solid state as revealed by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. In addition, compound 1 is a colorless material with a much larger highest occupied molecular orbital–lowest unoccupied molecular (HOMO–LUMO) gap than Alq3, which renders it potentially useful for a wide range of applications in EL devices.  相似文献

With the fast developments and growth of electronic applications and a great demand for increasing the speed of processors, VLSI circuits and on-chip interconnections the "Networks-On-Chip" (NOC) is the best solution for "System-On-Chip" (SOC). The most fundamental part of networks On-Chip is the On-Chip interconnection. Poly(N-methylaniline) (PNMA) coatings have been electropolymerized on 304 stainless steel alloy by potentiodynamic, galvanostatic and potentiostatic synthesis techniques from aqueous solutions of 0.1 M N-methylaniline (NMA) and 0.3 M oxalic acid. Characterization of PNMA coatings was carried out by cyclic voltammetry, UV-Vis and FTIR spectroscopy techniques. Corrosion behavior of PNMA coated stainless steel electrodes was investigated using linear anodic potentiodynamic polarization, Tafel test, chronoamperometry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques in 0.5 M aqueous HCl solutions. Corrosion test results showed that PNMA coatings possessed protection to uncoated stainless steel against corrosion.  相似文献

A eugenol-based silicone-containing monomer 4,4′-(1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane-1,3-dipropyl)bis-2-methoxyphenol(EUSi) was synthesized from eugenol and 1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane via the hydrosilylation reaction. And waterborne polyurethane (WPU) with excellent properties was obtained by using EUSi as a type of diol chain extender. The unique combination of rigidity and flexibility in the chemical structure of EUSi greatly facilitated the mechanical properties, thermal properties, and water resistance of WPU. With only a 3% dosage of EUSi, the maximum tensile strength was increased from 6.2 to 22.4 MPa, while the water absorption was decreased from 31.3% to a surprisingly 7.6%. Our work provides a new convenient strategy for the preparation of organosilicon-modified WPU with improved performance.  相似文献
